WHAT DOES PROOFREADING INCLUDE?
The proofreading service that I offer includes:
- Spelling, grammar, punctuation
- Insertion/deletion of missing/incorrect/extra words
- Flagging up of word or sentence repetition and suggestions of alternatives
- Suggestions where meaning could be made clearer or be better expressed
- Flagging up of anything possibly factually incorrect or libellous
- Content consistency throughout the material
- Page format, if required, i.e. line spacing, consistency of headings, page numbers, etc.
I work largely online, mainly using Microsoft Word Track Changes, or on PDFs. I am also happy to proofread website content.
